Four Way Books will consider poetry manuscripts for its Intro Prize in
Poetry (for poets who have not published a book-length collection)
from Janaury 1-March 31, 2010. The judge will be Alan Shapiro.
Guidelines will be posted in December. To check the status of a current online submission, go to our submissions manager.
We will also read submissions in June 2010, including poetry
collections, (regardless of your publication history), short story
collections and novellas.Submissions sent to us in June are selected
by our editorial board, not by an outside judge.
On occasion, we read outside of these time frames. However, it is
important that you query us first before sending your work to us. If
we can accomodate you, we will. Our ability to read outside of the
contest and our June Reading Period depends upon our workflow at any
given time.
Thank you for your interest in Four Way Books.
Congratulations to Daniel Tobin who has been awarded a 2009 Fellowship in Poetry from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation.
We are proud to announce that Kevin Prufer's National Anthem was selected as one of five 2008 Best Books in Poetry by Publishers Weekly.
