Bruce Richards
Sydney Lea has published eight prior volumes of poetry. His 2000 book, Pursuit of a Wound, was a Pulitzer finalist, and the collection before that, To the Bone, was co-winner of The Poets’ Prize. Founder and longtime editor of New England Review, Lea has also published the novel A Place in Mind and two naturalist nonfiction titles, Hunting the Whole Way Home and A Little Wildness. He has received fellowships from the Fulbright, Guggenheim, and Rockefeller Foundations, and has taught at Dartmouth, Middlebury, Wesleyan, and Yale, as well as at several European universities. Active in conservation and literacy advocacy, he lives in Vermont.
